Here is a dilemma.

Today I walked past a newspaper stand. A cover of one of the magazines on the rack showed Ricki Lake- she had dropped from size 24 to 4. Personally, I thought Ricki Lake looked really voluptuous and sexy as a size 24. Now she has the old Ricki Lake face on a stick body – she looks odd, but more specifically she has lost her allure. She looks rank.

I detest the way the vision of ‘a sexy woman’ is portrayed in the media. It is just not reflective of what people really find attractive. It is concocted by the coke-sniffing, militant editors of the style magazines who force celebrities to walk the tightrope of ‘too fat….too thin’. And I feel annoyed that someone like Lake would succumb to all of this nonsense. But it got me thinking….

….say, for example, you prefer the fuller figure. Say you got married to someone with a fuller figure- which you find incredibly sexy. If that woman/man decided to lose a lot of weight, and it changed their body image significantly, presumably it would affect the sexual chemistry.

Has anyone lost sexual interest in their partner because they have decided to diet?

And why don’t women tell fashion magazines to fuck off?! Why do women insist on following these stupid rules that are shouted at them in the media? Why do women listen to this nonsense?!
